As a working artist, Joshua King keeps in mind that ‘the only rule is to create’ (by john cage). I have been focused on this rule throughout my career and believe it is one of the most important things to remember. I balance my life’s work between the worlds of fine art and commercial photography. I don’t worry about what I am trying to say while I am creating; I know my voice will be heard throughout the finished work. Knowledge and curiosity keep me inspired; I could not be where I am in my career without the surrounding of creative minds. Remember: ‘the only rule is to create’.
