The eighth annual Cedars Open Studios is your opportunity to learn about the neighorhood and the numerous professional artists and craftsmen residing in the Cedars. The artist studios are open year around by appointment, but once a year, they open on the same day, giving visitors a chance to really experience a creative, evolving neighborhood.

Meet the artists, see where they work and what they create. Search and find the perfect piece to take home with you. If you’ve never been to the Cedars, now is a great chance to learn about the neighborhood.

AURORA 2010

This year we're adding an artist and student show to support the education and promotion of young emerging artists. We hope to add this as a permanent event for Cedars Open Studios. The party will consist of a student and professional show, which will be available for viewing from Nov. 19 to Nov. 28. The concept is "The Art of Light", which will be accompanied by a one day installation called AURORA 2010.

AURORA 2010 is an indoor/outdoor event that will use the Dallas Heritage Village as a backdrop for a night of art installations using the following mediums: Light, Video, and or Sound. All artist are encouraged to have fun with their creativity using any of these mediums. The park is open to several locations to exhibit your work.

If you are are a participating artist in this years Cedars Open Studios, then we encourage you to also submit artwork for the show. This will be a great opportunity for you to showcase your work the day before the tour.
